Enhance your students’ creativity and understanding of this important holiday with our free President’s Day writing activity for kids.

Unveiling Presidential Power: A Kid-Friendly Writing Challenge
My children and I love incorporating holidays into our homeschool. We usually take the day off from our regular curriculum and replace it with fun holiday crafts and activities. President’s Day is a perfect time for all things social studies. From history to geography, there are so many elements we can learn about.
They love being able to stretch their creative writing muscles. Where something like notebooking is more narrating what we have been learning, writing prompts give them a baseline of what is expected, while still allowing them to use critical thinking and creativity.
What’s in the Free President’s Day writing activity for kids?
There are two different writing activities included in the PDF. One is for lower elementary with dotted lines to help with handwriting. The other is more for upper elementary. I have also provided a blank space at the top of the page to be able to illustrate their writing.
How do I use the writing activity?
You simply allow the child to use their creativity to express their imagination. If you have young students, like kindergarten or first grade, you can have them narrate to you. Then, write their ideas on a white board or paper. Allow them to use the assignment as copywork.
